One of the best corn breads Ive had the Portuguese pastries are wonderful especially the Natas. All breads are fresh and made daily on site Ive been told and they sure taste like it. For the best Portuguese buns west of Portugal ask for Jack.
FINALLY!! It's refreshing that a traditional wonderful eurpoean Bakery still exist.
I'm in love with the All of the Breads!! and of course the Portuguese Buns!! Truly Best in Vancouver!! If only there were more locations. I end up driving to Burnaby just for this Bakery!
We stumbled across this wonderful bakery and deli while visiting another business in the area. The baked goods are excellent, freshly baked and lots of variety. We had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with the owner Jack today, Dec 31/09, as he made us 2 of his finest coffees to enjoy with some of his baked goods. He mentioned that they offer grilled piri piri chicken on Fridays and Saturdays, which we look forward to trying next time.
Although we live in the South Granville area, we plan to be frequent shoppers as it's worth it.
Fortuna Bakery is the one stop shop for all fantastic baked goods and deli meats along with many other deli products. The bread is second to none and my favorite is the Sour Dough Rye.Mmm Mmm. good! The coconut squares are awesome too...Oh heck ...everything is GREAT!
